The Qantas Rockpool Sommeliers group, led by Australian chef Neil Perry, is comprised of 16 experienced sommeliers and mixologists, including one of only two Master Sommeliers in Australia, Sebastian Crowther.

Each year the team spends four days tasting, reviewing and creating tasting notes for 1,400 Australian wines and Champagnes and ultimately select wine, Champagne, spirits and other beverages for all of Qantas’ domestic and international flights and lounges for the year.

All wines are evaluated for their ability to present well under flying conditions and the team look for wines that are fresh, with exceptional balance. The Rockpool mixologists are also tasked with creating seasonal cocktails to be served across the global lounge network.
