Como Hotels and Resorts has appointed Pietro Addis as the new general manager of Maldives property Como Maalifushi. Addis joins from Aman Resorts, where he’d been area manager for Sri Lanka since 2012.

Greg Allan joins Pan Pacific Hotels group as VP operations (ASEAN). A British citizen, Allan has more than 30 years’ hospitality experience and was most recently based in the UAE as area VP of 14-property Rotana Hotel Management. Allan has also worked for Marriott and Resorts World Sentosa. His Pan Pacific role will grow in tandem with the group’s regional expansion, including Pan Pacifics Hanoi and Yangon – to open in the next 12 months.

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, has appointed Devdutta Banerjee as area director of revenue management for Asia. Banerjee, an Indian national, has 18 years of experience working with global hotel brands including his previous employer, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, where he was corporate director of revenue management and distribution.

Maurizio Bisicky as the new senior VP sales and marketing at Anantara Vacation Club. Formerly regional VP sales and marketing for Marriott Vacations Worldwide, Bisicky has also served in international leadership roles in the financial services industry as well as in manufacturing.

Anantara Hotels Resorts & Spas has appointed Patrick Both as GM of Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel. With 21 years’ experience, including five years of management positions for Anantara in the Maldives, Vietnam and the UAE, his most recent position was GM at Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara in Abu Dhabi. He has also worked at Hilton, InterContinental, Langham and Kempinski properties.

Nisha Chand has been promoted to Anantara Vacation Club group director HR. Chand moves into this position after five years in various HR leadership roles within the group. She has worked in the Middle East and Thailand.

Olivier Chavy will take over the CEO leadership of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts from Jean-Gabriel Pérès this month. With a 28-year track record in hotel operations and brand management, Chavy holds dual US/France citizenships, is tri-lingual and has served as international head, global brand performance of luxury and lifestyle brands for Hilton Worldwide. Prior to joining Mövenpick Chavy was president and CEO of Wilson Associates, an architectural design firm.

Fabrice Collot is the new GM of Banyan Tree Macau. Collot joined the group in 2007 at Banyan Tree Al Areen Spa and Resort, Bahrain as executive assistant manager and was promoted to hotel manager before moving to the Angsana Riads Collection, Morocco. With over 27 years of experience in senior management roles across four continents, Collot has also worked at Leading Hotels of the World Maradiva Villas Resort and Spa in Mauritius, Wanda Realm Ma’anshan and Wanda Tianjin in China.

Edouard Demptos is Grand Hyatt Singapore’s new hotel manager. He has worked at Hyatt on the Bund, Shanghai since 2013 as executive assistant manager, F&B before his promotion to hotel manager. The French national joined Hyatt Hotels & Resorts in 2004 as director F&B at Hyatt Regency Casablanca and Hyatt Regency Hotel & Casino Manila. Demptos takes over from Olivier Lenoir who has been appointed GM of Andaz Singapore opening in 2017.

K.B. Kachru has been appointed Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group chairman emeritus and principal advisor, South Asia. Kachru has been instrumental in building the business in India since 1998. And was chairman and the CEO South Asia’s mentor since 2013. Prior to that, Kachru served as executive VP in key markets within South Asia, overseeing Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s joint venture companies in India.

Outrigger Enterprises Group has announced the appointment of Bitsy Kelley as VP corporate relations. Kelley has been VP corporate communications since 2013. Prior, she worked in the media and has also served as director of brand and business development for Ohana Hotels and Resorts.
Eaton, Hong Kong has appointed Jaly Lai as director of sales and marketing. With over 16 years’ experience, Lai started her career at Sheraton Hotel, Hong Kong in 1995, was director of sales at The Langham, Hong Kong in 2014 and director of sales and marketing leading the pre-opening team at the Mira Moon Hotel.

Meritus Hotels & Resorts has appointed Melvin Lim as GM Marina Mandarin Singapore. With over 20 years of industry expertise in key operations and leadership roles across Southeast Asia including with IHG, Millennium & Copthorne International, The Ascott, Park Hotel Group, and Far East Hospitality, Lim joins Meritus following two years as area GM for Far East Hospitality

Regent Chongqing has appointed Roger Marcz as GM. Swiss-born Marcz brings nearly 40 years of international luxury hotel management experience including Jumeirah which manages BurjAl-Arab Dubai, Mandarin Oriental, The Ritz-Carlton and most recently Wanda Hotels & Resorts.

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has announced Scott McConnell as director, global sales – leisure, Asia Pacific. A seasoned industry professional with over 18 years’ experience, McConnell was most recently the global account director with Langham Hospitality Group.
Phuket lifestyle design company Infinite Luxury, which opened Kata Rocks in Phuket in 2014, has appointed Michael Nurbatlian director of marketing. Nurbatlian’s previous experience includes InterContinental Hotels & Resorts and resort Indigo Pearl. He was most recently at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok for four years as director of digital marketing.

Outrigger Enterprises Group has announced the appointment of Jennifer Obregon as director of HR for the Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort. Prior to joining Outrigger, Obregon was with Viceroy Resorts in Turkey and the Maldives and was previously director of HR with Four Seasons, as well as having worked at Shangri-la and Taj Exotica Resort and Spa – all in the Maldives. Obregon has worked in the Philippines, Vietnam, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Outrigger Enterprises Group has appointed Eugene Oelofse as director of marketing and eCommerce, Asia Pacific. Oelofse, from South Africa, brings 13 years’ experience in branding, communications, digital, marketing and CRM to Outrigger. He was branding and communications director at Akaryn Hotel Group in Thailand.
Marco Polo Hotels has appointed Duncan Palmer as MD of its Hong Kong flagship property, the Murray Building, scheduled to open in October 2017.
With over 35 years of experience in senior management roles for luxury hotel groups worldwide including Mandarin Oriental, The Savoy and Langham Hotel Groups, Palmer is from the UK, and has spearheaded a number of global luxury hotel repositioning and redevelopment projects.

Michael Parker has been appointed MD of Rosewood Sanya, which will open early 2017. A British native, Parker has 23 years hospitality experience and held senior hotel manager positions in both mainland China and the U.K., most recently as MD at Banyan Tree Shanghai on the Bund, and previously with Wanda Hotels and Guoman Hotels, as well as at The Grosvenor Hotel in London.

Four Seasons and owners Rajawali Property Group have appointed Christian Poda GM of the new Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta. German-born Poda worked in the US and Europe before moving to Asia in 2007, and has worked in Shanghai, Singapore, Maldives and Hong Kong.

Monica Salter is the new VP corporate communications at Outrigger Enterprises Group. Salter joins the group from Bennet Group Strategic Communications where she was senior VP. Her career history includes PR director for Hotel Lanai, communications manager for Xterra’s International trail run series and assistant marketing director for the University of Hawaii athletics department.
Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has appointed Nicholas Smith to the role of GM at new property Kerry Hotel Hong Kong. Smith has been with Shangri-La for several years, he was instrumental in the opening of Kerry Hotel, Pudong, Shanghai in 2011. And was previously at Shangri-La Mactan Resort & Spa, Cebu. He has also held key positions in Kota Kinabalu, US, UK, Antalya and the Middle East.

Gino Tan is Pan Pacific group’s new area GM (Singapore). Singaporean Tan has over 23 years of industry experience, having managed luxury hotels in Singapore, London and China. He has been GM of Pan Pacific Singapore since 2015 and will run this role concurrently with his new one. Prior to joining Pan Pacific Tan was GM of Millennium Hotel London Mayfair.

Pan Pacific Hotels Group has appointed Nelson Tan GM of Pan Pacific Xiamen, China. Tan joins the group from his role as resident manager Carlton Hotel Singapore. Athe Singaporean has more than 15 years’ experience in business development, operations and management in the hospitality sector, having held several leadership positions at hotels in Switzerland, Australia, Singapore and China.

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has appointed Horst Walther-Jones as GM Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali – set to open later this year. The German national has worked in Mexico, China and the Middle East.

Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has announced the appointment of Victor Wong to the role of VP development, Asia Pacific. Wong has 16 years of experience in hospitality.
