Dream Cruises, the first Asian luxury cruise line, has launched its ‘Dreamscapes’ programme for its inaugural ship, Genting Dream, featuring  a visit from a real-life astronaut.

The programme will feature “epic stories from award-winning travel photographers and iconic explorers of land, sea and space.”

“We have reached out across the world to identify and invite experts in their respective fields, to bring to our guests a truly varied and inspired programme of life-enhancing experiences,” explains president Thatcher Brown.

“Guests of all ages will have the opportunity to spark new passions and deepen existing interests, adding a new dimension to their transformational journey at sea.”

Astronaut Dr. Leroy Chiao swaps space for the sea. As one of the few people to have seen earth from space, Dr. Chiao, renowned US astronaut and international space station commander has logged 229 days in space, and will deliver a truly unique view of the world.

In Space Exploration@Sea: The True Story of being an Astronaut,  Dr. Chiao will deliver a three-part storytelling experience. In ‘View from the On-High: Adventures of a Professional Astronaut’ he will share his experiences onboard the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station.
