Hong Kong travel agents recently gathered at the Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong to participate in a seminar on South Africa Destination Marketing, hosted by the South African Consulate General in Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Association of Travel Agents (HATA).

The new South African Tourism ‘Wow Moments’ campaign was introduced, which highlights what travellers are looking for in their experiences abroad including: wildlife safari, scenic outdoors active adventure, city life, coastal beach, and cultural roots.

During a Q&A session participants asked about destination key highlights to the current industry landscape. A wine tasting and networking session wrapped up the seminar which “aimed to increase interest from the tourism trade in Hong Kong to participate in Indaba and the Hong Kong Roadshow in 2017 as well as further promotional opportunities in Hong Kong for South Africa.”
